Project Title: STEM Lego Exploring, Learning & Creating
Summary: LEGO kits will be utilized by 4th grade students to enhance the exploration of STEM education lessons through hands-on learning as well as challenge students to be problem solvers.
Project Title: Math in Motion
Summary: Students will use motion detectors along with a Matchgraph app to create graphs from their own movement, allowing them to explore the relationship between slopes of lines and speed.
Project Title: Hear Now and Always
Summary: Grant funds will allow for purchase of resources for learning to listen bags that can be used with and checked out to families as they go through language and audition curriculum.
Project Title: Instructional Guitars
Summary: Project Guitar Club will put guitars in the hands of students that don’t have the means to purchase a guitar and learn to play. The goal is to reach kids that have an interest in music but failed to connect with the traditional band programs.
Project Title: Integrating Drone Technology into the Ag. Classroom
Summary: Students will be involved in real life data collection. Students will use the pictures taken via drone and use it to create their own point and click maps (using ArcGIS).
Project Title: Flexible Seating in the Classroom
Summary: A variety of seating options will be purchased to assist in classroom set-up and management and allow students movement options which will enhance their learning environment.
Project Title: Math and STEM for Kindergarten
Summary: Materials will be purchased to create math and STEM stations for all kindergartener classrooms. Materials will be used to blend portions of math, science and technology blocks to make learning more interdisciplinary.
Project Title: Flexible Seating for the Elementary Classroom
Summary: Funds will be used to purchase alternative/flexible seating options. Movement for all students is beneficial to their ability to attend to the teacher and the lessons they are working on.
Project Title: LHS 3D Printers
Summary: Three stations will be developed for the printers, one mobile station and two stationary locations. The mobile unit allows for flexibility to reach all classrooms at the high school. As tech integration in LHS classes increases, printers will allow all LHS students opportunities to conceptualize, virtually create and print artifacts. Printers will also be utilized within Industrial/Career Tech Ed classes to design and prototype components.
Project Title: PadCaster, Makerspace
Summary: Funds will be used to purchase a PadCaster for students to use in creating and producing filmed presentations. The padcaster is an easy to use, portable and self contained filming studio that uses an ipad as the camera and includes 3 kinds of microphones, wide angled lens, heavy duty tripod, LED light, portable green screen, mini teleprompter and a padded camera backpack.
